Kent Police arrested two men for investigation of fourth-degree assault after a fight broke out in connection with a loud party at a West Hill apartment complex.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Six officers responded to a call about a fight June 22 in the parking lot of the Birchtree Apartments, 23653 Pacific Highway S., according to the police report.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The incident reportedly started with a loud party at an apartment. Another tenant and his son went to ask the party unit to quiet down. A man at the apartment told the man who complained to mind his own business.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
A verbal argument started. The man and his son who complained reportedly were each punched by a man at the noisy apartment. Another man in the complex heard the argument and also was punched as the men pushed each other and fell down a set of stairs.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Officers apprehended two men near the complex that sits by Highline Community College. One of the men said there had a been a verbal argument and a man pushed his brother so he came to the rescue of his brother. The man denied he had assaulted anyone.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Liquor violation<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Officers cited a man for investigation of minor in possession of alcohol and making false statements at about 5:36 p.m. June 23 near the Kent Transit Center, 301 N. Railroad Ave.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Two bicycle patrol officers spotted three males at the center and saw one carrying a can of Old English malt liquor as they started to walk away, according to the police report.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The man told officers he was planning to throw the can away and that he only had a couple of drinks from it. The officer dumped out the remaining malt liquor in the can.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The man initially incorrectly spelled his own name that he gave to police. Officers discovered once they had the right name that the man had a Pierce County warrant for theft.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Assault<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Police arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault after he allegedly punched his girlfriend during a dispute at about 2 p.m. June 22 in the parking lot of Pioneer Tattoo, 204 E. Pioneer St.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The girlfriend told the officers she became jealous of a girl her boyfriend was tattooing in the shop, according to the police report.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The girlfriend walked out of the shop and the boyfriend followed. The woman said that he pushed her against the wall of the shop, grabbed her neck and shoulder and jerked her in different directions. She eventually got to her car, but the boyfriend got in the passenger seat and the argument continued. The boyfriend reportedly placed his hands around the woman’s neck and jerked her side to side.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The boyfriend also said his girlfriend became jealous of the girl he was tattooing. He said she yelled at him.
