{"id":2098,"date":"2012-01-24T12:20:49","date_gmt":"2012-01-24T20:20:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kent-could-get-wind-gusts-of-45-to-50-mph-tuesday\/"},"modified":"2016-10-23T18:30:32","modified_gmt":"2016-10-24T01:30:32","slug":"kent-could-get-wind-gusts-of-45-to-50-mph-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-could-get-wind-gusts-of-45-to-50-mph-tuesday\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent could get wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Gusts of wind up to 45 to 50 mph could strike Kent late Tuesday afternoon or evening.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><a title=\"NWS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wrh.noaa.gov\/sew\/\" target=\"_self\">The National Weather Service<\/a> at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday issued a wind advisory for Western Washington between 2 p.m. and midnight Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>A vigorous frontal system will bring windy conditions to the Washington Coast, Northwest interior and much of the Puget Sound region, including Seattle, Tacoma, Bremerton and the Hood Canal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Winds will increase as the day goes on with the periods of strongest winds expected late this afternoon through this evening.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>South winds are predicted between 15 to 25 mph becoming southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Impacts could include local damage to trees and power lines with small trees possibly being toppled due to saturated soils or recent ice damage.
