Kent Station presents “Dining Night Out” on Tuesday to help support the fight against cancer.

Restaurants inside Kent Station, 417 Ramsay Way, will help raise money for next month’s Kent Relay For Life event by donating a portion of the sales to the American Cancer Society.

Five Kent Station restaurants – Banyan Tree, Cal’s Classic American, Duke’s Chowder House, O Pho & Teriyaki, and the Ram Restaurant & Brewery – are participating. Cal’s Classic American will donate 50 percent of its profits all day, and the Ram Restaurant & Brewery will donate $1 from every Relay-inspired “Purple Pint” sold.

The Relay For Life, set to begin at 6 p.m. June 1 at French Field, celebrates those who have battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost and empowers individuals to fight back against the disease. Funds raised are enabling the American Cancer Society to impact the lives of those touched by cancer in the community.

Many people in Kent and the surrounding areas benefit from American Cancer Society programs and services, such as the Road to Recovery program, cancer support groups, hair loss and mastectomy products, and access to a 24-hour cancer hotline.
