For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Rainier Youth Choirs Friends & Family Concert is Thursday, Oct. 16 at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. SE, Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The free concert is 7 to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n With more than a 100 young singers, three new ensembles and the addition of several talented staff members, the concert will kick off RYC’s eighth season, “Imagine.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The concert will include music from the Beatles, Temptations, Britten, Vaughn Williams, Stephen Hatfield, and Andrea Ramsey, as well as some folk arrangements.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n All RYC groups will perform under the direction of Brian Hoskins, Brad Wills, Karen Ohman Martin and Leora Schwitters, accompanied by Lori McEwen, Julie Swienty and Mary Kaye Owen.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n RYC’s new executive director, Karen Fulmer, also will be introduced.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
