Bartell Drugs is once again partnering with the Salvation Army to provide holiday gifts for children in need by collecting new, unwrapped toys<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

during its ninth annual Salvation Army “Toy ‘N’ Joy” drive through Dec. 14.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Bartell’s Kent location is 12946 S.E. Kent Kangley Road.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The toy donations will be accepted at all 58 Bartell Drugs locations in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Toys will be distributed to low-income children and youth the week before Christmas through the Salvation Army’s “toy warehouses.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The five-week drive in 2011 generated over 5,200 toy donations by Bartell’s customers-the estimated equivalent of $78,637 in toys to the Salvation Army.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Donation options include:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u2022 Choose a “gift request tag” from the “Toy ‘N’ Joy” display in the store and return the gift to the donation barrel with the tag affixed to it.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u2022 Donate new, unwrapped gifts appropriate for children up to age 14.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
