Advance Auto Parts, one of the largest automotive aftermarket parts providers in North America \u2013 serving professional installers and do-it-yourself customers \u2013 announced Thursday it will open its second store in Kent, 10460 SE 256th St., on Oct. 22.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A ribbon cutting ceremony is 4 p.m. Nov. 5.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Bryan Gildersleeve, the new general manager, will work with nine other team members at the new Kent location. A 25-year veteran of the automotive and retail sales industries, Gildersleeve has been with Advance Auto Parts for eight years. He is ASE-certified, having passed testing of his automotive knowledge by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The new store offers customers a wide range of parts and recognized national brands as well as several free services.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The store will provide free installation of new windshield wipers and also offer a complimentary check of the vehicle’s electrical system and old battery, as well as provide free installation of a new battery with purchases on most vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The store offers fast parts delivery to local commercial customers, such as professional mechanics and garages. Customers can also conveniently order online and pick up in the new store in 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

During regular store hours, customers may drop off used motor oil and batteries for recycling.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Alaska-based Denali Federal Credit Union<\/strong> recently added Derek Dykman<\/strong> as financial consultant in its Investment Services Department. The credit union recently opened its 20th branch in Kent at 19802 62nd Ave. S., Suite 101.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In this role, Dykman is responsible for working with Denali members on various investment, insurance and retirement strategies and products which are offered in addition to the traditional banking services offered by the Credit Union.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dykman was the owner of Dykman Insurance Agency prior to joining Denali’s Investment Services department. He had served 10 years in the U.S. Army prior to opening his agency.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

He holds NASD Series 6 and Series 63 licenses, and is licensed with the State of Washington for Life, Health and Credit Insurance.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
