The Kamloops Blazers defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-1 Wednesday night at the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The loss snaps the T-Birds’ five-game winning streak.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The T-Birds have back-to-back home games this weekend. They play the Prince George Cougars at 7:35 p.m. Friday at the ShoWare Center. The Swift Current Broncos are at ShoWare Center ay 7:05 p.m. Saturday,<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle (8-3-0-0) took a 1-0 lead early in the first period on a power-play goal from Shea Theodore. Mathew Barzal carried the puck from end-to-end and put a shot on goal that Kamloops goalie Bolton Pouliot stopped. The puck rebounded into the right circle where Ethan Bear got to it. Bear sent the puck to Theodore at the left point. Theodore beat Pouliot with a slap shot with traffic in front of Pouliot. The goal came 3:13 into the game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Kamloops (4-7-0-0) tied the game 1-1 on an unassisted goal by Tim Bozon at 10:53 of the first. The goal came while the teams were playing four-on-four.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Both teams had 12 shots on goal in the first period.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Blazers took a 2-1 lead at 15:47 of the second period on Bozon’s second goal of the game. Cole Ully had the only assist on the goal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Chase Souto scored a power-play goal at 17:54 of the second to extend the Blazers lead to 3-1. Josh Connolly and Ully were credited with the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Blazers outshot the T-Birds 12-10 in the second period and led 24-22 in shots after two periods.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The T-Birds outshot the Blazers 10-4 in the third period and 32-28 in the game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle goalie Justin Myles stopped 25 of 28 shots and his record falls to 4-2-0-0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Pouliot made 31 saves on 32 shots and his record is 3-3-0-0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
