For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2 Friday afternoon in a preseason game at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The game was the T-Birds second at the Red Lion Hotels’ Preseason Tournament. The T-Birds have a 3-2-0-0 record in the preseason with two games remaining on the preseason schedule.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The T-Birds close out the preseason schedule with a home-and-home series against the Everett Silvertips. The T-Birds visit Everett on Friday, Sept. 12, for a 7:35 puck drop against the Silvertips. The T-Birds then make their only preseason appearance at ShoWare Center on Saturday, Sept. 13 for a 7:05 p.m. contest against the Silvertips.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Single-game tickets for the home preseason game are on sale.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Alexander True gave the T-Birds a 1-0 lead at 5:38 of the first period. Evan Wardley and Donovan Neuls had the assists on True’s first preseason goal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Everett (2-2-0-0) tied the game 1-1 at 11:05 of the first when Carter Cochrane scored. Ivan Nikolishin and Addison Runey were credited with the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Everett outshot Seattle 14-7 in the first period.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Neuls scored a power-play goal at 4:50 of the second period to put the T-Birds in front 2-1. Shea Theodore and Mathew Barzal had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Midway through the second period Everett replaced Austin Lotz in net with Nik Amundrud. Lotz stopped 11 of 13 shots in just over 31 minutes of action.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Silvertips tied the game 2-2 at 17:58 of the second on a goal from Remi Laurencelle. Chris Stockl and Lucas Skrumeda had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Everett took a 3-2 lead at 18:54 when Tyler Sandhu scored. Kohl Bauml and Brayden Low had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Seattle outshot Everett 8-7 in the second but Everett had a 21-15 lead in shots going into the second intermission.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Everett’s Matt Fonteyne scored an unassisted goal at 5:27 of the third period to get the Silvertips fourth goal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Everett outshot Seattle 27-25 in the game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Taran Kozun played the whole game for the T-Birds and had 23 saves on 27 shots.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Amundrud made 10 saves and got the win for the Silvertips.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n SCORING SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n First period<\/strong> – 1, Seattle, True 1 (Wardley, Neuls), 5:38. 2, Everett, Cochrane 1 (Nikolishin, Runey), 11:05.
