Sister\u2019s Summer School, the latest of the sinfully funny Late Nite Catechism series comes to Kent\u2019s Spotlight Series on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Kentwood Performing Arts Center, 25800 164th Ave. S.E.,\u00a0 in Covington.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Part catechism class, part stand-up routine, Late Nite Catechism is a serious of comedic, interactive one-woman shows. This time Sister is not happy. The diocese has decided to offer a summer school catechism course for students who weren\u2019t paying attention all year. Instead of three relaxing weeks at the motherhouse, Sister is stuck with her students this summer. And summer is already rough enough for Sister \u2013 try wearing 50 pounds of gabardine in 90-degree heat!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Sister will discuss such questions as, \u201cDid Jesus have to go to summer school? And \u201cWhat is an appropriate summer vacation for a practicing Catholic?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Tickets are $28 for adults, $26 for seniors and $15 for youth. Tickets are available at www.kentarts.com<\/a>, by calling (253) 856-5051 or in person at the Kent Commons (525 4th Ave. N.). Hours for phone and in-person sales are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Box office is closed on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
