The annual Summer Recycling Collection Event and Recycling Products Sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the Kent Phoenix Academy parking lot at 11000 S.E. 264th St.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Besides bringing items not easily recycled at the curb, Kent residents will have the opportunity to purchase rain barrels, composters, and new this summer, worm composting bins.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Recyclers will accept appliances, refrigerators and freezers, toilets, sinks and mattresses. Residents may also bring batteries and small electronics.\u00a0 Computers and TVs can be recycled free of charge at E-Cycle Washington designated collection sites.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Concrete, rocks, asphalt and brick will be accepted and should be placed on a tarp, plastic sheet or in buckets to speed up unloading. The Shred-It of Washington truck will offer free shredding of up to three file-sized boxes of documents per vehicle.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Staff from WestSide Baby will collect children\u2019s car and booster seats. Seats less than six years old will be placed back into circulation for reuse.\u00a0 Seats not meeting safety standards will be dismantled and recycled.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
