Midway residents and business owners can find out how to become involved in the planning for a possible Sound Transit light rail station near Highline Community College at a Community Transportation Forum.

Kent-based Community Network Council, a nonprofit group, will host the forum from 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at Woodmont Library, 26809 Pacific Highway S. Lunch will be provided.

The council will assist attendees in coming up with a strategy to become involved in the planning process for development around the light rail station in Midway. Sound Transit plans to extend the light rail line from SeaTac to Kent by 2023 and aims for a decision about a preferred route along Kent’s West Hill by 2015.
