{"id":18717,"date":"2013-02-06T09:56:25","date_gmt":"2013-02-06T17:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kent-phoenix-academy-health-clinic-available-to-k-m-students\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T14:50:31","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T21:50:31","slug":"kent-phoenix-academy-health-clinic-available-to-k-m-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-phoenix-academy-health-clinic-available-to-k-m-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Phoenix Academy health clinic available to K-M students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.kent.k12.wa.us\/ksd\/PH\/teenhealthclinic.html\" target=\"_blank\">health clinic <\/a>at Kent Phoenix Academy (KPA) is now available to students at Kent-Meridian high school.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Beginning in November of 2012, the on-campus health clinic, originally exclusive to KPA students, opened its doors to serve the uninsured and underinsured students at K-M.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>&#8220;For many years they&#8217;ve had a desire to access the clinic at Kent Phoenix Academy,&#8221; said Annette Gibbs, personal health services supervisor for the Kent Public Health clinics. &#8220;It (was) a matter of finding funding.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The services offered at the teen health clinic are the exact same services found at any primary care provider&#8217;s office from immunizations to reproductive health care.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The purpose of the par-time clinic is to provide supplemental health care to students.
