BASEBALL<\/p>\n

TROJAN SUMMER CAMPS<\/p>\n

Camps in BASEBALL and FASTPITCH are scheduled for June 23-27 at the Auburn High School baseball complex. Elementary-age players will meet from 9-11:30 a.m.; and middle school-age players will meet from 1-3:30 p.m. The cost is $115, and includes a T-shirt. Early registration is encouraged. The focus will be on offense, defense, speed training, throwing arm care, throwing programs, base-running concepts and position-specific instruction. The camps will be directed by coach Brian Embery. GRAND SLAM CAMPS<\/p>\n

These camps are for players ages 6-12, and are staffed by local high school coaches and current college players who teach fundamentals in a fun, upbeat environment. Camps are scheduled for July 7-10 at Daffodil Park in Sumner, July 14-17 at Petrovitsky Park in Renton, and July 21-24 at South County Ballfield Park in Federal Way. The cost is $99. KENTLAKE BOYS HOOP CAMP<\/p>\n

This camp for players who will be entering grades 2-9 is scheduled for June 24-27 at Kentlake High School, 21401 S.E. 300th St. It will be directed by Kentlake coaches Ron Charrier and Jeff Martin. The cost is $95 if registered by June 1, and $100 thereafter, and includes a camp T-shirt and basketball. PUGET SOUND FOOTBALL CAMP<\/p>\n

This camp is for players who will be entering grades 4-9 in the fall. It is scheduled for June 30-July 3 at French Field on the campus of Kent-Meridian High School. It is a non-contact camp and runs from 9 a.m.-noon each day. It will be directed by Kentridge High head coach Marty Osborn, and the camp staff will include coaches from Kentridge and other area high schools and junior highs, as well as current Kentridge seniors and former players now in college. KENT CHAMBER GOLF CLASSIC<\/p>\n

The 30th annual edition of this tournament is scheduled for Monday, July 14, at Washington National Golf Club in Auburn. Play goes from noon-9 p.m. The early-bird registration fee (due by May 16) is $175 for a single, which includes lunch, dinner and two drink tickets, or $680 for a foursome, which includes lunch, dinner and two drink tickets for the foursome.
