Kent Police arrested a woman for investigation of fourth-degree assault after she allegedly threw a glass candle holder at her boyfriend that cut his face.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The boyfriend called 911 at about 8:30 a.m. on July 16 to say his girlfriend had cut him with a piece of glass in their apartment at the Silver Springs Apartments, 22416 88th Ave. S., according to the police report.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The woman tried to wake up her boyfriend so he could take her to the hospital because her foot hurt from when someone stepped on it at a party the previous night. The boyfriend said he wanted to sleep in longer.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The girlfriend wanted him to get moving, so she allegedly hit him in the leg with a broomstick and then threw an iron at him, but missed. She then threw a glass candle holder that shattered when it hit the boyfriend in the face. He then ran to his bedroom and called 911. She pounded on his bedroom door and punched a hole in it. The boyfriend then ran out of the apartment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The woman denied hitting her boyfriend with a broomstick or throwing a candle holder at him. She said they had shoved each other. They have dated for about eight months and live together.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The boyfriend denied medical attention. Officers took the girlfriend to the hospital because of her sore foot and it turned out she had a broken lower left leg. She had gone to a different hospital the night before after the party incident but didn\u2019t wait around to see a doctor.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Man steals hotel cash<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Officers arrested a man for investigation of third-degree theft after he reportedly stole $400 cash from the registration desk at the Hawthorne Suites, 6329 S. 212th St.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n An employee called 911 at about 4:14 p.m. on July 15 to report the theft, according to the police report.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n A clerk signed in the man and accidentally left a cash drawer open when she walked away to make a copy of his identification. The man reached over the counter and took four $100 bills out of the drawer. The clerk added up her till later and discovered it was $400 short.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n When the clerk checked video surveillance, a camera showed the man reaching into the cash drawer.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Officers went to the man\u2019s hotel room and found him stepping outside the room to smoke a cigarette. He initially told police he took $200 because the hotel had put an extra charge on his card. When told more than $200 had been stolen, he admitted he took $400.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Police searched the man and found $850 cash on him. He told the officers to return $400 to the hotel and give the rest to the woman with him in his room.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Man punches, kicks father<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Police arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault after he allegedly punched and kicked his father at about 3:46 a.m. on July 17 at an apartment at the Buena Casa Apartments, 2634 S. 256th St.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The father told officers his son came home drunk and for some unknown reason started to punch and kick him, according to the police report. The father had blood on his hands, face, elbows and on the back of his shirt.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The son had just moved to Kent from Chicago about three weeks ago. The father said his son might have had gang ties in El Salvador.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Police found the son later in the morning asleep in grass near the apartments. He had bruised knuckles and an injured ankle after jumping off the apartment\u2019s balcony earlier in the morning. He admitted he had fought with his father but denied any gang ties. He took off his shirt to show officers he had no gang tattoos.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Man caught with drug items<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Officers arrested a man for investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia and on a theft warrant after an officer saw the man walking northbound at about 4 p.m. July 18 in the 900 block of Central Avenue North and recognized him because of his many outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The man had a theft warrant out of Burien, according to the police report.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n When an officer searched the man, he found two glass pipes on him. The man admitted to officers that he smoked meth.
