Five employees were examined by the Kent Fire Department and two were sent to a local hospital as a precaution after they complained of a strange smell inside a north Kent business at 10:52 a.m. Thursday in the 6300 block of South 199th Place.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Two people were sent to a hospital for various symptoms and three people declined aid, according to a Kent Fire Department media release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Kent Fire Department\u2019s Hazardous Materials Response Team took air samples after evacuating the building but was unable to find anything unusual or pinpoint the source of the problem.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Employees were allowed back into the building at about noon. The business works with plastic films and adhesives, according to fire officials.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A company was brought in to examine the heating, ventilating and air conditioning system at the business for malfunctions.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
