A total of 5,031 stuffed animals were tossed on the ice. The animals are distributed to police and fire departments to give to children in times of emergency and crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The crowd broke the previous single-game attendance high of 6,151 for a Jan. 23, 2010 game against the rival Winterhawks. Portland won that game 6-1.
