Hundreds of triathletes will kick of their summer competitive season at the Lake Meridian Triathlon at 8 a.m. Sunday at Lake Meridian Park.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Raise the Bar, which also will present the Lake Meridian Triathlon in August for a fifth year, is adding the June race.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Athletes will swim for quarter- or half-mile, bike 16 miles on Kent and Auburn-Black Diamonds roads, and run 3.1 miles on the Soos Creek Trail and Southeast 256th Street.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The public can expect significant traffic delays on Kent-Kangley Road between 8:10 and 10:15 a.m. Southeast 256th Street will remain clear to vehicular traffic, though runners will be on the south shoulder. Motorists are advised to use caution.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
