{"id":18086,"date":"2013-07-29T09:28:43","date_gmt":"2013-07-29T16:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kent-house-fire-displaces-2-people\/"},"modified":"2016-10-21T17:20:32","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T00:20:32","slug":"kent-house-fire-displaces-2-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-house-fire-displaces-2-people\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent house fire displaces 2 people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><strong>For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Two people are staying with family following a house fire in the 14300 block of Southeast 262 Street on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The fire was first reported by a neighbor at 7:36 p.m. When firefighters from the Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority arrived, they found the attached garage of the single-story home fully on fire.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Fire also reached into the attic space, which allowed it to spread to other portions of the residence.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>It took firefighters approximately 45 minutes to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The two residents were able to get out safely.
