Although drivers know they can be cited for texting and talking on a cellphone while driving, hundreds of drivers are still stopped each month<\/a> in King County alone, according to a Washington State Patrol media release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In the month of September, King County troopers stopped 370 drivers for talking on their cellphones and 43 violators for texting while driving. More than half of those drivers received a $124 ticket for the illegal cellphone use.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Drivers are encouraged not to use a cellphone while driving, but if necessary, use a hands-free device to help keep the focus on the roadway.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
