I keep Saying rallied to the lead past mid-stretch and scored a one-length victory Saturday in the $14,500 Jim Beam Purse for 3-year-olds and up at Emerald Downs.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Ridden by Isaias Enriquez for trainer Jim Penney and owner-breeder Homestretch Farm Inc., I Keep Saying ran six furlongs in 1:08.87 and paid $3.40, $2.20 and $2.20. It was Penney’s second win on thecard, and extended Enriquez string of consecutive days with a win to 16.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A 4-year-old Washington-bred by Yankee Gentleman-Arco Iris, I Keep Saying settled into third place early, as Fist Full of Green led Havanna Red through fractions of :22.33 and :44.88. The winner bid three-deep into the lane, forged to the front a furlong from the wire, and heldboth Fist Full of Green and the hard-charging Sandys Diamond to prevail.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
