The Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 2-1 Dec. 12 at Comcast Arena in Everett.<\/p>\n
Seattle (12-18-1-3) took a 1-0 lead at 2:23 of the first period on a goal by Sena Acolatse. Jeremy Schappert kept the puck in at the right point and sent it down the boards. Brendan Rouse got the puck and put a shot on Everett goalie Kent Simpson. The puck rebounded off Simpson’s right left to Acolatse in the slot. Acolatse quickly snapped the puck past a sprawling Simpson for his 11th goal of the year.<\/p>\n
Everett (17-11-2-1) outshot Seattle 16-9 in the first period.<\/p>\n
The Silvertips tied the game 1-1 at 8:23 of the second period on a goal by Kellan Tochkin. Tyler Maxwell had the only assist on the goal.<\/p>\n
