The Kent-based Seattle Thunderbirds added their second defenseman via trade in the last week when they acquired Brad Deagle from the Red Deer Rebels for a conditional pick in the 2013 Bantam Draft.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
T-Birds general manager Russ Farwell announced the deal Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Deagle, 19, from Lethbridge, Alberta appeared in 55 games last year with the Rebels and had 12 points, all on assists, with 51 penalty minutes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Deagle is a left-handed defenseman who is 6 feet 1 and 188 pounds. He was drafted by the Rebels in the third round, 62nd overall, in the 2007 Bantam Draft.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Seattle traded for defenseman Braeden Laroque last week from the Edmonton Oil Kings for a 2012 Bantam Draft pick.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The T-Birds have back-to-back home games this weekend. They face the Prince Albert Raiders at 7:35 p.m. Friday at the ShoWare Center and play the Victoria Royals at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
