The Seattle Thunderbirds<\/a> shut out the Everett Silvertips <\/a>3-0 Saturday night at the ShoWare Center in Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The T-Birds are currently in eighth place in the Western Conference playoff standings, two points behind the Victoria Royals, who are in seventh place, with two games in hand. With the win the T-Birds moved three points ahead of the ninth place Silvertips.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The T-Birds face the Tri-City Americans Sunday at the ShoWare Center in Kent at 5:05pm.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The T-Birds got on the board at 14:14 of the first period on a goal by Dillon Wagner. Chance Lund grabbed the puck at the left side of Everett zone and sent it to Brad Deagle just inside the blue line. Deagle slapped the puck towards the goal and Wagner tipped it into the net from the right side of the goal crease.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Seattle led 14-9 in shots on goal after the first period.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n At 16:58 of the second, Seattle went ahead 2-0 on a power-play goal by Connor Honey. Seth Swenson had the puck on the left side of Everett zone and backhanded it to Honey at the top of the left circle. Honey took a wrist shot on goal that deflected off of an Everett defender’s stick and into the slot where Brendan Rouse caught it and sent it back towards the goal. The puck deflected off of Everett goalie Kent Simpson’s pad and Honey grabbed it to make another shot on goal that deflected off of Everett defenders and back to Honey. On Honey’s third attempt, he controlled the puck over to the left and lifted it up over a sprawling Simpson and into the net.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Seattle led Everett 27-15 in shots after two periods of play.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The T-Birds made it 3-0 at 5:42 of the third on a goal by Jacob Doty. Evan Wardley had the puck at the right side of Everett zone and sent it to Deagle inside the blue line. Deagle took a slap shot that Doty tipped into the right corner of the net.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The T-Birds finished with a 45-29 advantage in shots.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Calvin Pickard stopped all 29 shots for Seattle increasing his record to 21-31-1-1.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Kent Simpson made 42 saves on 45 shots for Everett bringing his record to 14-28-1-5.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n T-Birds single game tickets for the 2011-12 season are available online at the T-Birds website<\/a> and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
