To help unite families and friends in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Comcast announced Tuesday it will provide free calls to Japan for its Xfinity Voice and Business Class Voice customers.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
For calls made to Japan by customers\u00a0 from March 11 through April 10, Comcast, based in Philadelphia, will remove those charges from customers\u2019 bills.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cOur hearts go out to all of the earthquake and tsunami victims and their families,\u201d said Cathy Avgiris, Comcast general manager for communications and data services, in a company media release. \u201cWe want to help ensure our customers with loved ones living in or visiting Japan have the means to remain in close contact with them during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Credits and waived fees will be automatic, so no action is required by customers. Comcast will cover fees for calls made to both landline and mobile phones. Comcast\u2019s subscriber terms and conditions otherwise apply.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
