Grade: Sophomore. Sport: Tennis. Accomplishment: Ly defeated Kentwood\u2019s Rachel Venn 6-2, 6-0 in a No. 1 singles match between two of the area\u2019s top teams. Ly\u2019s victory helped the Chargers upend the Conquerors, 3-2. Favorite class: Commercial Art. Greatest athletic moment: Ruining Kentwod\u2019s undefeated record. Most recent book read\/author: \u201cAnimal Dreams\u201d by Barbara Kingsolver.\u00a0 Favorite movie: Tangled.\u00a0 Also noted: Along with being a standout tennis player, Ly also is part of Key Club, National Honor Society, sports a 3.95 grade-point average and is planning to attend the University of Washington after she graduates.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my mom\u2019s dad that I never got to meet and get to know. (I would serve) Chinese food. Greatest athletic moment: Almost clearing 10 feet in the pole vault at the Bellevue Invitational. Grade: Sophomore. Sport: Baseball. Accomplishment: McGuire went 5-for-5 with a pair of home runs and 10 runs batted in, leading the Conquerors past Kent-Meridian last week, 23-2. Favorite class: English. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (Washington Nationals prospect) Bryce Harper. He is a catcher, like me, and has really inspired me being a high school player going straight to professional baseball. I would make spaghetti because it\u2019s my favorite. The two victories helped the Conquerors take a commanding lead in the race for the SPSL North title. Favorite class: Wood shop. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Mike Rowe (from the television show Dirty Jobs) and I would serve steak and crab.
