January is National Mentor\u2019s Month, and locally, Communities In Schools of Kent<\/a> is the local non-profit that works with the Kent School District, serving students in Kent, Renton and Covington, by providing mentors and facilitating internships. Time magazine recently recognized Communities in Schools as a national organization in its Sept. 20 Annual National Service issue as the nation\u2019s largest dropout-prevention organization.<\/p>\n
