Kent Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a robbery suspect who forcefully snatched a purse from a woman at the intersection of Veterans Drive and Riverview Boulevard South on the West Hill.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Officers were dispatched at about 9 p.m. on Jan. 23 to the intersection where a 38-year-old Kent woman reported that while walking in the area an unknown man approached her and forcefully took her purse, according to a Kent Police media release on Feb. 19. During the ordeal, the man reportedly assaulted the woman prior to fleeing on foot.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The suspect is a black man, 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He is noted as having short natural afro hair type, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
