{"id":1694,"date":"2013-07-02T11:36:23","date_gmt":"2013-07-02T18:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kent-police-update-about-use-reporting-of-fireworks\/"},"modified":"2016-10-23T21:05:34","modified_gmt":"2016-10-24T04:05:34","slug":"kent-police-update-about-use-reporting-of-fireworks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-police-update-about-use-reporting-of-fireworks\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Police update about use, reporting of fireworks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Kent Police posted a reminder on its Facebook page that legal fireworks can only be discharged in Kent from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Legal fireworks include novelties, smoke, sparklers, morning glory, ground spinners, multi aerials, helicopters, mortars (1\u00be&#8221; or less), parachutes, cones and fountains, roman candles and wheels, according to police.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Illegal fireworks include firecrackers, bottle rockets, missiles and sky rockets and are a misdemeanor. Illegal explosive devices or IEDs, such as M80\/M100\/M1000, cherry bombs, pipe bombs, tennis ball bombs or altered fireworks (like taped sparklers), are a felony.
