The family of Kent Police officer Rob McCuistion has invited the public to attend a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The service will start at 11 a.m. at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. S.E., in Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

McCuistion, 53, was a 13-year-veteran of the Kent Police Department. He died from injuries he sustained during an early morning traffic accident on Feb. 24 on Kersey Way Southeast in Auburn.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

While driving home, McCuistion\u2019s car left the roadway and collided with a tree. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Department.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The service Saturday will incorporate traditional police honors while also recognizing McCuistion\u2019s considerable achievements and contributions in life.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Honor Guard Units from the Kent Police Department and Kent Regional Fire Authority will participate in the service. Representatives from local and regional law enforcement agencies also are expected to attend.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A private committal service for family and friends will follow at the Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
