The candidate filing week ended with 503 candidates filing for office. At the close of filing, candidates had filed for 304 of the 311 offices up for election this year.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The majority of candidates, 465, chose to file online. A lot draw was conducted to determine the order candidates will appear on the ballot. The list of candidates and their ballot order is posted on the King County Elections website.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cElections in odd years include local positions that affect the daily lives of voters,\u201d Elections Director Sherril Huff said. \u201cEvery voter in King County will receive a ballot in the mail this year, so it\u2019s a good time for voters to update their registration and visit our website to stay up to date and informed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
