Searchers from the King County Sheriff’s Office Marine and K-9 units were unable to find a missing 49-year-old Kent woman Jan. 13 at Clark Lake Park on the East Hill in Kent.

K-9 units searched the park and a diver looked in the lake but did not find the woman, said Kent Police Lt. John Pagel.

“They have not located anything,” Pagel said Wednesday.

Kent Police asked for assistance from the sheriff’s office to help find Lyubov Lutsyk, said Lisa Price, Kent Police spokeswoman. Lutsyk was last seen at her East Hill residence near Clark Lake Park. Relatives of the woman reported her missing Jan. 2.

Kent city officials closed the park Wednesday afternoon as the sheriff’s office units spent about three hours looking for the woman.

Pagel said searchers were able to cover the 130-acre park near Southeast 240th Street and 127th Avenue Southeast, so no further search of the park is expected.

The family of Lutsyk said that she had been depressed and made statements about wanting to leave and disappear. Clark Lake Park was one of the places she talked about and the family had concerns that she may be somewhere in the park, Price said.
