{"id":16846,"date":"2014-02-17T17:57:34","date_gmt":"2014-02-18T01:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/firefighters-douse-house-fire-family-of-four-evacuates-safely\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T13:40:26","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T20:40:26","slug":"firefighters-douse-house-fire-family-of-four-evacuates-safely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/firefighters-douse-house-fire-family-of-four-evacuates-safely\/","title":{"rendered":"Firefighters douse house fire; family of four evacuates safely"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><strong>For the Reporter<\/strong><span style=\"white-space: pre;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Firefighters from the Kent Fire Department RFA extinguished a house fire in the 23200 block of 50th Avenue South Monday in Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Investigators determined a  mechanical failure in a laundry room ceiling fan caused the accidental fire, according to a Kent Fire Department official.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The fire was first reported at 4:08 p.m. Monday at the two-story house. The family of four got out safely.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>It took approximately 30 minutes to extinguish this fire and there were no reported injuries.
