Pat Sullivan, D-Covington, announced Tuesday that he will seek re-election to the State House of Representatives.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Sullivan will officially kick off his campaign from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at the Showare Center in Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cIt is an honor to represent the 47th District in Olympia,&#8221; Sullivan said in a media release. &#8220;We have accomplished a great deal over the past several years but there is important work still to be done. In particular, I want to continue to focus on education reform and job creation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><a title=\"pat\" href=\"http:\/\/votepatsullivan.com\/index.php\" target=\"_self\">Sullivan has represented the 47th District, Position 2<\/a>, for eight years. He was selected to serve as House Majority Leader two years ago and continues to serve in that role. He also serves as a member of the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cI have worked hard during my terms in the state House of Representatives,\u201d Sullivan said. \u201cThis is a great community and I am grateful to have an opportunity to be involved with such great people.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The kick-off event is open to everyone.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State Rep.
