{"id":16643,"date":"2013-09-03T11:16:20","date_gmt":"2013-09-03T18:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/car-crashes-into-kent-apartment-building\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T12:35:32","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T19:35:32","slug":"car-crashes-into-kent-apartment-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/car-crashes-into-kent-apartment-building\/","title":{"rendered":"Car crashes into Kent apartment building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>A car crashed into a Kent apartment building early Sunday morning on the West Hill, narrowly missing a resident asleep in one of the units.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kent Police arrested the driver for investigation of DUI after the car ran off the road struck the building at about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 23600 block of Pacific Highway South, according to a Kent Fire Department media release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Emergency personnel found the car lodged in the apartment unit. The resident was not injured by the crash.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>A city of Kent building inspector ruled the apartment unit to be unstable and could not be inhabited until stabilized.
