A bicycle-patrol officer spotted a young man smoking while sitting in a bus shelter at about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue South.<\/p>\n
The officer approached the man, who was 19, to tell him smoking wasn’t allowed in the shelter. The officer then noticed the smell of marijuana.<\/p>\n
Police arrested the smoker for investigation of possession of marijuana. Officers also discovered the man had a felony warrant for burglary out of King County.<\/p>\n
An officer searched him and reportedly found two plastic bags of marijuana in the man’s coat pocket. Police said the substance in the bags tested positive for marijuana at the police station. Officers booked him into the city jail.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Robbery<\/b><\/p>\n
A man reported being robbed of cash by another man at about 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at an apartment complex in the 25800 block of 26th Place South.<\/p>\n
The man said he parked his truck at the apartment complex and started to walk to his apartment when another man approached him and took cash from him. He told officers the man who attacked him jumped in a van driven by a second man. The man told police that after he had returned to his truck, he had been pursued by the van several minutes later. Police closed the case because of a lack of suspect information.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Assault<\/b><\/p>\n
A man involved in a fight with his roommate Nov. 4 later claimed to Kent Police to be a former CIA agent and part of the Kennedy assassination.<\/p>\n
Police arrested him for investigation of fourth-degree assault, after he grabbed his roommate during a fight that afternoon at an apartment in the 23800 block of 30th Avenue South, according to the police report.<\/p>\n
The man told officers he had just returned to his apartment after a mental-health review. The man said his roommate owed him money for rent, so he grabbed him by the front of his shirt and tried to throw him out of the apartment.<\/p>\n
The roommate fell over a coffee table during the fight and had minor scratches on his hand.<\/p>\n
When an officer transported the assailant to the city jail, the man told the officer he was a federal agent for the U.S. Department of Treasury. In an earlier interview with officers, the man claimed to be a former CIA agent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
