The workshop takes place 2-4 p.m. May 19, at the King County Elections office,  9010 East Marginal Way S., Tukwila 98108.<\/p>\n<p>Following the workshop, from 4-5 p.m., elections staff will provide a 1-hour informational session explaining how ballots are designed.<\/p>\n<p>Elections staff will cover the following topics: filing for office in King County, voters\u2019 pamphlet information, campaign sign regulations, and basic public disclosure requirements.<\/p>\n<p>To appear on the fall ballot, all candidates must file a declaration of candidacy online, in person or by mail no later than Friday, June 11 by 4:30 p.m. For more information about candidate filing, please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingcounty.gov\/elections\/referenceresources\/candidatefiling.aspx\">www.kingcounty.gov\/elections\/referenceresources\/candidatefiling.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>a href=&#8221;http:\/\/www.kingcounty.gov\/elections\/aboutus\/directions.aspx&#8221;&gt;Click here for directions.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Candidate filing is just a few weeks away.
