The National Weather Service<\/a> has released a wind advisory for Western Washington for the evening hours until 10 a.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Along with the wind advisory the weather service released a flood advisory including an advisory for King County for flooding in small stream from melting snow and rain.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

EVENING. THE WIND WILL SHIFT TO SOUTHWESTERLY BEHIND THE FRONT.<\/p>

TO A FEW HUNDREDTHS OR ZERO TO THE NORTH WHERE THE RAIN IS JUST<\/p>

GETTING STARTED.<\/p>

LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WITH OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL OVERSPREAD<\/p>

THE ENTIRE AREA TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY. TOGETHER WITH MELTING SNOW<\/p>

OVER THE LOWLANDS...EXPECT PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS AND IN<\/p>

NEIGHBORHOODS. STORMWATER WILL POOL IN THE SNOW COVER BEFORE<\/p>

EVENTUALLY MELTING AND RUNNING OFF. IN ADDITION...THE SNOW COVER AND<\/p>

ICE COULD BE BLOCKING STORM DRAINS AND\/OR CULVERTS WHICH COULD ALSO<\/p>

RESULT IN EXCESSIVE PONDING OF WATER OR CAUSE SMALL STREAM TO<\/p>

OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS.<\/p>

RUNOFF FROM THE RAIN AND MELTING SNOW WILL INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY<\/p>

OF LANDSLIDES AND DEBRIS FLOWS.<\/p>
