That\u2019s when a passing vehicle struck him.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred in the southbound lanes near the State Route 516 interchange. Both lanes of traffic were temporarily closed as emergency responders stabilized him and took him to a local hospital.<\/p>\n<p>State Patrol officials say they\u2019ll be citing the man for standing in the roadway, as well as unlawfully stopping his car.<\/p>\n<p>Law officers say that drivers should be removing their tire chains before getting onto highways with bare pavement.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man was struck by passing car along Interstate 5 in Kent, and both his legs were broken in the mishap, according to the Washington State Patrol.
