Volunteers \u2013 individuals, students, scouts and families \u2013 are encouraged to participate in the fifth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service litter clean-up along the Interurban Trail on Jan. 21.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The clean-up runs 1 to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The group meets at the Kent Lions Skate Park on West Smith Street near the Lincoln\/Valley Highway overpass in downtown Kent. Parking is available in the Park-and-Ride lot next to the skate park.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Please come dressed for the weather. Wear sturdy boots, bring work gloves and bottles of water. Trash bags and pick sticks will be available.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Last year, 78 volunteers signed up for last year’s event, which was canceled due to a storm.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Registration deadline is noon Jan. 16.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
