One organization which I overlooked was the Army Corps of Engineers, which has oversight of this region&#8217;s many flood-control levees and other hydraulic structures, including dams. These folks were out in force during the height of the flooding, as well as in the days (and weeks) after it, evaluating how well our systems of levees and flood-control dams worked.
