The city of Kent’s Recycling Event drew 979 vehicles that dropped off 71.5 tons or 140,863 pounds of material.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Each vehicle at the Oct. 20 event at Russell Road Park dropped off an average of 146 pounds of recyclable material, according to city officials. The event allowed residents to drop off items not picked up by curbside recycling, including appliances.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
