{"id":14360,"date":"2010-06-02T16:59:33","date_gmt":"2010-06-02T23:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kent-visfest-winners-watch-the-video-too\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T21:40:40","modified_gmt":"2016-10-23T04:40:40","slug":"kent-visfest-winners-watch-the-video-too","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/life\/kent-visfest-winners-watch-the-video-too\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent VisFest winners; watch the video, too!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The winning films and video games from the Kent School District&#8217;s 2010 VisFest Film and Game Festival can be viewed online.<\/p>\n<p>The Web site is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.k12.wa.us\/KSD\/IT\/visfest\/main_pages\/recap.html\">www.kent.k12.wa.us\/KSD\/IT\/visfest\/main_pages\/recap.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>VisFest is short for &#8220;Visual Literacy Arts Festival.&#8221; The district started the event in 2002 to give students an outlet to display their creative and artistic visual-literacy talents to fellow students, teachers and the community.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s VisFest was May 25 at Kent-Meridian High School.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for the videos this year was &#8220;How has technology helped you learn?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Students were required to limit their films to three minutes.
