About 20,000 residents in Redmond and unincorporated King County can dial 911 again from their land-line phones now that a severed fiber optic cable has been repaired.<\/p>\n
Residents lost 911 phone service for several hours when a construction crew accidentally severed the cable at the corner of Redmond Way and 159th Place NE in Redmond on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Residents regained phone service around 8pm Tuesday night. The temporary telephone outage limited residents\u2019 ability to dial 911 from a land-line phone in the event of an emergency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
