Place of Refuge, a Kent-based relief agency, is asking for extra help with donations of clothing and food, after executive director Kelly Carroll sustained injuries last week in an auto accident in Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>Carroll said in a phone interview Monday that she sustained a broken elbow and isn\u2019t able to perform her typical amount of fundraising efforts over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not about me, but we cannot do what we planned without support,\u201d Carroll said.<\/p>\n<p>The agency needs clothing for newborns to adults as well as toys and non-perishable food.<\/p>\n<p>R. Place of Refuge is in the middle of its annual holiday Adopt-a-Family drive to provide food, clothing and toys to 200 families that asked for help.<\/p>\n<p>Carroll, a former Microsoft employee, founded R. Place of Refuge in 2004.
