A group of Central Washington University faculty and staff leaders will visit Kent on Wednesday.

Called the “Wildcat Caravan,” the purpose of the visit is to meet with community college and area business leaders to find out what they consider to be the most pressing education needs in Kent.

“We want them to share ideas with us so that we can be even more effective partners through CWU-Kent and increase educational opportunities in the community,” said Margaret Badgley, CWU assistant vice president for University Centers, who is heading up the caravan.

CWU-Kent is among the eight university centers CWU operates throughout Washington. Those centers offer upper division courses in selected degree areas and are designed for place-bound and time-bound students who have completed their associate degrees.

“Our campuses are co-located with community colleges in order to make thetransition from two- to four-year degree programs easy,” Badgley pointed out.

The public is also invited to provide online feedback about educational opportunities that may be missing in the Kent area at www.cwu.edu/wildcat-caravan.
