The award-winning Kentridge Players present the musical, “Little Shop of Horrors”, in November on the school stage, 12430 SE 208th St., Kent.
<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Shows run Nov. 12-15 and Nov. 19-22. Curtains open at 7 p.m., with additional 2 o’clock matinees each Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“Little Shop of Horrors” \u2013 composed by Alan Menken and written by Howard Ashman \u2013 is a comedy horror rock musical about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The musical is based on the low budget 1960 black comedy film, “Little Shop of Horrors”, directed by Roger Corman.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, “Skid Row”, ” Somewhere that’s Green”, and “Suddenly Seymour”.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Kentridge Players are excited to be working with a plant used in professional productions in New York City.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Tickets are on sale through the Kentridge High School website<\/a> beginning Nov. 1. Ticket prices are $8-$10.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
