For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Rainier Christian High School is sending its cross country team to the state championship this Saturday in Pasco.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Josh Brockschmidt, a sophomore at Rainier Christian, qualified with a time of 20:21.7 in the 5K (3.1-mile) district race at the American Lake Golf Course in Tacoma last Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Brockschmidt placed 12 out of 37 boys in the 1B\/2B varsity race. Only the top 15 from districts will go on to state.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The state championship will be at the Sun Willows Golf Course.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Brockschmidt will compete against approximately 1,500 runners from more than 225 schools throughout Washington.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n “I couldn’t be more proud of Brockschmidt’s success this season and at the district meet.
