The City of Kent today agreed to terms for a facility naming rights partnership with ShoWare\u2122 by VisionOne. ShoWare also will be the exclusive ticketing service for the new home of the Seattle Thunderbirds and the Puget Sound region\u2019s newest entertainment venue.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis opportunity allows VisionOne to showcase our innovative ticketing service \u2013 ShoWare \u2013 in an emerging entertainment environment like Kent,\u201d said VisionOne Senior Partner Ralph Fasi. \u201cOur partnership with the City of Kent will provide a firm foothold for ShoWare in the ticketing market for larger venues and sports teams in the region and throughout the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n
“We are delighted that a company with an international presence has chosen to invest in Kent on a long-term basis,” said Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke.<\/p>\n
The proposed agreement between the City and ShoWare is for 10 years, with a total value of $3.175 million.<\/p>\n
ShoWare\u2019s ticketing service offers an online shopping experience. With a \u201cselect-a-seat\u201d feature, buyers can choose their exact seat location rather than operating with automated \u201cbest available\u201d seating preferences.<\/p>\n
Colin Campbell, vice president and assistant general manager of the Seattle Thunderbirds added, \u201cWe are excited to enter into this partnership with ShoWare and SMG. We know our fans will benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very excited about partnering with a company whose vision is aligned with SMG\u2019s in terms of providing an innovative approach to serving our guests,\u201d said Tim Higgins of SMG, the center\u2019s general manager. \u201cThis unique partnership will place the Center at the forefront of technological advancements in customer service.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Kent Council will review contract terms prior to approval later this month. The facility\u2019s name, logo, color scheme and more will be unveiled within the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
