The Seattle Thunderbirds were special guests at an assembly to congratulate Crestwood Elementary for winning the 2010 Cruzin’ Passport Summer Challenge.<\/p>\n
At the Nov. 16 event, T-Bird players and T-Bird mascot Cool Bird presented students with trinkets, as well as celebrating with them, for winning a community-wide health event focused on individual youngsters keeping track of their healthy activities over the summer.<\/p>\n
Crestwood took first place in the event, followed by Martin Sortun Elementary, and Sawyer Woods Elementary in second and third.<\/p>\n
Crestwood won $1,000 for physical-education or health materials; Martin Sortun won $750 for PE and health materials; and Sawyer Woods won a floor-hockey set.<\/p>\n
