Eric Comrie made 30 saves and Brian Williams had a hat trick Tuesday night to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds at the Toyota Center in Kennweick.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Seattle (3-2-0-0) heads out to the Central Division for three games this weekend. The T-Birds are at the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday, and the Kootenay Ice on Sunday. They finish out road trip on Friday, Oct. 11, at the Kelowna Rockets.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Tri-City outshot Seattle 12-6 in the first period.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Tri-City (2-3-0-1) took a 1-0 lead at 6:49 of the second period on a power-play goal by Brian Williams. Connor Rankin and Marcus Messier had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Williams struck at 12:29 of the second to extend the Americans lead to 2-0. Rankin and Justin Gutierrez were credited with the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The Americans had a 23-16 lead in shots after two periods.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Williams scored 18 seconds into the third period to get the hat trick and give the Americans a 3-0 lead. Gutierrez had the only assist.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Tri-City outshot Seattle 31-30 in the game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Seattle goalie Justin Myles stopped 28 of 31 shots and his record is now 2-1-0-0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Comrie’s record is now 2-3-0-1 with the win.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
